One night, alone in his house, he looks through his photo albums, remembering the people he loved and the people who betrayed him. His shrewish wife Lisa (Diana Rigg); his old school friend who cheated him (John Clesse); the crooked financier who lost him money (Bob Hoskins ). After discussing the matter with his best friend John, Harry comes to a remarkable decision. If he is going to the next world, he will take with him some of other people who most harmed him during his life. His first mission is to visit an East London pub and meet with Fred (Joanna Lumley) the beautiful hippie philospher/ barman who can supply him with a gun!!! Armed with his "weapon" , Harry, first kills his shrewish wife (Diana Rigg) who made his life a misery with her constant nagging and who left him for a rich, chic fashion photographer. His next target is the crooked financier, Gerd Layton (Bob Hoskins) who swindled him out of his money and helped him to lose his wife. He goes to his luxury house and drowns him in his swimming pool. All is going according to plan until Harry meets with the lovely Jill (Felicity Kendal) who is working for Layton, secretly to avenge her mother whom he ruined by stealing her money.
