During the opulent prelude to the first annual jewelry convention in Cologne, Lana, a professional thief is able to sneak her way into the heavily guarded exhibition hall. The extensive security measures are no match for her cunning and high-tech equipment. Just as she is holding one of the stunning jewels in her hands, a secret alarm goes off and Lana is forced to make an unexpected run for it. A young insurance agent, Tim, thwarts her plans, and for the first time in her life she is caught. To everybodys surprise it turns out that Lanas booty consists of nothing but worthless fakes. The insurance company is faced with a deadline: if they dont get the real jewels back within 48 hours they will have to pay out 21 million in insurance money. Hartmann, Tims boss, offers Lana her own personal deadline: she has to come up with the real jewels within that same amount of time in order to gain her freedom. Lana has no choice but to agree to the deal even though this means that Tim will follow her every move. What Lana doesnt know is that she will need all the help she can get if she wants to stay alive...
